Summary |
The exhibition Piinpi: Contemporary Indigenous Fashion brings together a selection of seventy designers, artists and makers to showcase the first major survey of Indigenous Australian fashion. Comprising in over one hundred objects including hand-made garments, accessories, fibre material and textile prints, the exhibition sheds light on a movement that is blossoming and set to become one of Australia's leading fashion phenomena. Piinpi features a collection of pioneer designers, artists and makers who are carving the future of fashion and design in Australia and leading important conversations around ethical and sustainable practices. |
