This is the latest exploration date indicated suggesting a probable publication date for the map of 1863. Castleton (Bendigo) is not marked, but Golden Point (Chewton), where gold was discovered in the Spring of 1851, is shown. The word 'Gold' is marked in bold across the Victorian central goldfields region." - Bookseller's description.
