Summary Like many other aspects of Melbourne's culture, its Anglicanism has distinct characteristics of its own, marking it off from its equivalents in other state capitals. The papers in this volume critically examine a range of its involvements, from the conservative to the liberal and radical, from its delivery of welfare, participation in early sex education debates and its responses to the decriminalisation of homosexuality to its patronage of musicians and the performance and publication their work.
